ModernPROTEIN Blueberry Pie

November 12, 2015

In our industry, the word “CHEATING” gets thrown around a lot, from arching your back when curling a buck 35 to taking a test booster and still calling yourself natty. One thing I will CHEAT on is my diet. We have a pretty open relationship so it’s ok… However, it’s not always just the pint of Ben and Jerry’s and deep dish pie that has me bending the rules. I also “color outside the lines” when it comes to PROTEIN desserts/snacks. I’m not a protein chef or chef/baking person by any means. Someone that’s not me makes the amazing recipes you see and snaps mouthwatering pics of them. I’m the guy that mixes ModernPROTEIN in my RED Starbucks cup and calls it a day. However, there are some things I can do, like purchase a mini pie crust and fill it with a delicious blueberry protein sludge. Betty Crocker has nothing on this. When life gives you Blueberries… or a Blueberry Jam, you make PIE.

  • 2 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream ModernPROTEIN
  • 2 tablespoons Low Fat Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons All-Natural Blueberry Preserves
  • Almond Milk or Water
  • 2 Mini pie Crusts

In a bowl, combine the Vanilla Ice Cream ModernPROTEIN, Greek yogurt, all-natural blueberry preserves and a small amount of almond milk or water and mix well. Keep adding small amounts of almond milk or water until you’ve reached a pudding-like consistency. Add to the mini pie crusts, top off with fat-free whipped cream and enjoy!

– Don’t like blueberries? You can substitute any other flavor of all-natural preserves!
– Prepare ahead of time and refrigerate for an awesome post-workout snack.
– No mini pie crusts available? Instead, use crumbled graham crackers. You can either mix them in or add them into the bottom of a glass and layer on the blueberry sludge then top with whipped cream.
