Success does not come by chance and if an athlete is to climb the podium they must dedicated many years to a proper training, diet and supplement plan.
That isn’t a point for debate but a simple fact.
‘Talk’ will not provide you a path to the podium and despite every suggestion of ‘quick fix solutions’ it takes years to reach the summit.
Along the path there will be many diversions, some avoidable whereas others, such as serious injury, impossible to withstand but they will determine if a spot on the podium is your horizon. How you manage each situation is the great determinant but no athlete should be haunted by questions later in life of ‘what if’.
Albeit impossible to say precisely how much of athletic success is dependent upon diet, certainly an athlete that does not respect healthy dietary habits is unlikely to find the podium.
A healthy diet sits at the root of athletic success and is very much the ‘nourishment’ for growth.
A spot on the podium years of dedicated effort to a proper training, diet and supplement plan. There are no ‘secrets’ nor are excuses acceptable and it requires dedication.
That said you can have your (protein infused) ‘cake and eat it too’ as a healthy diet need not be bland. Nutritious food is in fact ‘honest’ as it is not laced with preservatives and other chemical additives that have changed the pallet.
If there is ‘secret’ to diet it is to ‘stay focused upon your goals’ with both training and diet and when you wish a dietary treat, please accept it will not derail your efforts. Simply maintain the edict of ‘moderation’ and ensure there is balance of sorts, i.e. enjoy dessert with a nutritious meal.
Hence you can have your ‘cake and eat it too’, after Squats of-course.
Brownies, from USPlabs
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
50g Cocoa Powder
1 Scoop ModernPROTEIN
1/3 cup Stevia or 1 cup Splenda
1/2 cup Unsweet Applesauce
3 egg whites 1 tsp vanilla extract
60g Chocolate Chips
Mix all ingredients and use a blender, Fold in chocolate chips at end
Estimated Macros (For entire batch):
Cals – 930 Fat – 24g Carb – 123g Protein- 44g
Bake 350 for 15-20 Minutes or until hard on the outside.
